Division Order Analyst

This is a full time position located in our Denver Office in the Land Department, and reports directly to the Land Manager.

Overall Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities:

  • Analyze and interpret contracts, operating agreements, leases, deeds, assignments, title opinions and related legal instruments to determine actual ownership of production.
  • Provide recommendation regarding curing or waiving title requirements.
  • Calculate ownership in expense and production revenues and coordinate with accounting to ensure accurate allocations
  • Communicate and disseminate data to foster and maintain goodwill through positive interaction with lessors, royalty owners and working interest participants
  • Maintain communication with internal departments to promote efficiencies through synergy of team efforts.
  • Manage division order administration for all operated and non operated properties
  • Verify and process indemnifying division orders received from purchases
  • Perform due diligence review to locate interest owners
  • Work with Land Administrators to compile lease data relative to the preparation of legal documents and/or federal agreements in compliance with specific provisions of leases or governmental agencies.
  • Track and handle obligations
  • Mentor and train less experienced individuals
  • Generate reports and plats as required

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:

 Strong working knowledge of:

  • government regulations and policies regarding land related operations in the Western United States
  • fee, state and federal oil and natural gas lease agreements
  • drilling and production spacing unit impact on land records
  • Microsoft Office

University Degree and minimum of 4 years related oil and gas experience or College Diploma or Petroleum Land Certificate with 6 years of related Gas experience or equivalent, or a combination of education and experience.
