Our experienced recruiters will assess your qualifications against the requirements of the job, and will contact only those candidates selected for telephone or face to face interviews.

Applicants selected for interviews, will be asked to visit the Enerplus office to meet with the Hiring Manager for the specified position, along with an HR Representative. Enerplus uses Behavior Descriptive Interviewing (BDI) for all applicants. BDI is a process based on the principal past behavior is a good predictor of future performance. Questions are structured using the core competencies at Enerplus. Competencies are the cornerstone of our learning and development processes. Competencies are commonly used by companies to describe the leadership and business behaviors that are desired and expected from all employees and leaders.

Sample questions might include:

• Describe a project, situation, or assignment that challenged your skills. (What did you do to effectively manage the situation?)
• Describe a previous work situation where you would describe the work environment as ideal. What made it ideal and why?

To help us best assess your skills for the position you are interviewing for, answers should be structured using the "STAR" principle:

• S - Situation (State a specific situation including what happened? When? With Whom?)
• T - Task (What was the task or opportunity you encountered?)
• A - Action(s) you took (What did you do?)
• R - Results achieved (Success/consequences of your actions? What did you learn?)
