University of Calgary

Enerplus Resources Fund Bursaries

Amount:

$2,500 each (2 awards)

Criteria:

Offered annually to one continuing undergraduate student in the Department of Oil and Gas Engineering and one continuing undergraduate student in the Department of Geology and Geophysics at the University of Calgary.

These awards are based on academic merit and financial need. To be eligible, students must be interested in a career in the petroleum industry.

Wayne Foch Memorial Bursary

Enerplus is pleased to announce that we have established the Wayne Foch Memorial Bursary at the University of Calgary.

Wayne spent nearly 30 years working in the oil and gas industry and almost 20 of those years with Enerplus and its predecessors. We are very proud to be able to establish this bursary in his memory.

Amount:

$2,500

Criteria:

Offered annually to a continuing undergraduate student in the Haskayne School of Business in the Finance Concentration at the University of Calgary.

This award is based on academic merit and financial need. To be eligible, students must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents.

SAIT Polytechnic

Enerplus Resources Fund Entrance Awards

Amount:

$2,000 each (3 awards)

Criteria:

Enerplus will fund a student in each of the following programs:

- Bachelor of Applied Petroleum Engineering Technology

- Computer Technology

- Petroleum Engineering Technology

The primary selection criteria will be based on academic achievement in the academic courses presented for admission into the program. The secondary selection will be based on financial need.

Grande Prairie Regional College

Joe Slavik Memorial Bursary

Enerplus is pleased to announce that we have established the Joe Slavik Memorial Bursary at Grande Prairie Regional College.

Joe was a long-time employee of Enerplus and we hope that the creation of this scholarship will provide recognition for his contribution to the oil and gas industry in his community.

Amount:

$2,500

Criteria:

This award is intended to recognize achievement upon completion of the Power Engineering Certificate Program.

The selection criteria will be based upon financial need and extra curricular activities or community involvement.

University of Alberta

Enerplus Resources Fund Scholarship

Amount:

$2,500

Criteria:

Awarded to a student with superior academic achievement entering any year of an undergraduate Petroleum Engineering degree program at the University of Alberta. Recipient will be selected on the basis of academic achievement and financial need.

Mount Royal College

Enerplus Resources Fund Bursary

Amount:

$3,000

Criteria:

Awarded to a part-time student who is entering one of the following certificate programs:

- Canadian Association of Petroleum Accounting

- Petroleum Land/Contract Administration - Foundation

- Petroleum Joint Venture Administrator

The primary selection criteria will be based on financial need. The secondary selection will be based on a letter outlining the student's interest in the program, motivation in the field and attributes he or she brings to the profession.
