We currently have a full-time opportunity for a Division Order Analyst reporting directly to the Supervisor of the Land Administration group. This position is located in our Denver office and is part of the Land team. This position works closely with the Lead Division Order Analyst for the area. Knowledge and understanding of North Dakota Tribal Lands is required. As time allows this position may help in other areas including Colorado, Montana, and Pennsylvania.


  • Analyze and interpret contracts, operating agreements, leases, deeds, assignments, title opinions and related legal instruments to determine actual ownership of production and to determine deductions allowed as well as to verify the accuracy of the payments to the owners
  • Calculate ownership for production revenues and coordinate with accounting to ensure accurate allocations and gas balancing situations are handled correctly
  • Communicate and disseminate data to foster and maintain goodwill through positive interaction with lessors, overriding royalty owners and especially our working interest partners
  • Maintain communication with internal departments to promote efficiencies through synergy of team efforts as well as manage the WI Interests for the Well Master
  • Manage division order administration for Operated and Non-Operated properties
  • Verify and process indemnifying division orders received from purchasers
  • Perform Curative for wells and due diligence review as needed
  • Work with Land Department to compile lease data relative to the preparation of legal documents and/or federal agreements in compliance with specific provisions of leases or governmental agencies


  • A minimum of 6+ years related oil and gas experience in Division Orders; any post-secondary education will be considered an asset
  • Working knowledge of policies regarding North Dakota Tribal lands and related operations including horizontal and lease line drilling
  • Knowledge of oil and gas lease agreements
  • Demonstrated understanding of drilling and production spacing unit impact on land records
  • Highly organized with excellent time management skills
  • Strong hands-on working knowledge of Excalibur Land System (8+ years) and MS Office
  • Advanced Excel skills are required
