We are currently looking to fill a full time benefits position as a Senior Reservoir Engineer on our US Operations Team located in downtown Denver, CO.

The Senior Reservoir Engineer will report directly to the Team Lead, Reservoir Engineering. The Reservoir Engineering team is responsible for all reservoir related studies, forecasts and predictions relating to Enerplus’ core assets in North Dakota, Montana and Pennsylvania. The team works closely with the Production Engineering, Geology and Planning & Analysis teams to optimize development and maximize value.

Requirements

Key Accountabilities:

· Optimize development strategies on existing core assets with an emphasis on unconventional well spacing and

interference studies

· Provide input and recommendations on well design through detailed well performance analysis

· Identify and coordinate technical data gathering and analysis

· Provide input into annual reserves evaluation process

· Mentor junior and intermediate Reservoir Engineering staff in practical and analytical processes and best practices

· Evaluate assets for acquisition

· Prepare individual well performance data for use in forecasting and budgeting

· Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to analyze and diagnose production performance

· Conduct economic evaluations supporting AFE decisions, completions design and artificial lift opportunities

· Prepare detailed technical presentations to communicate learnings and findings across the organization


Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:

· Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (preferably Petroleum, Chemical or Mechanical)

· Minimum 8 years related unconventional reservoir engineering experience

· Advanced knowledge in reservoir engineering fundamentals with a specific focus on unconventional oil reservoirs

· Highly organized with excellent analytical, integration and project management abilities

· Excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills

· Experience with advanced decline curve analysis, rate transient and pressure transient analysis

· Working knowledge in software such as Aries, IHS (Fekete) Harmony and WEM (Nodal Analysis)

· Familiarity with PETRA or Geographix, as well as Tableau or Spotfire would be a benefit

· Results oriented, decisive, self-motivated and excellent attention to detail
