Well and Facility Operations Technician

The Well and Facility Asset Management Group has an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual as a Well/Facility Operations Technician.

This is a full-time position in our Denver office and reports directly to the Team Lead, Well & Facility Asset Management USA. The Well & Facility Asset Management USA team is responsible to proactively manage well and facility information through innovative processes and electronic solutions, to ensure compliance and to provide support to Operations, Regulatory, Engineering, Finance and Land for all capital and operational activity relating to Wells and Facilities.

As a key member of the Well & Facility Asset Management Team, this role is responsible to:

- Manage and maintain an accurate, current and complete inventory of wells and facilities within the Corporate Facility (SiteView) Asset Management system to ensure operations and statuses are reflected from concept to reclamation.

- Participate in the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives relating to SiteView. Create and develop improved and innovative business processes to better maintain facility information.

- Review requests to conduct field work relating to the design, modification, and replacement of equipment for Enerplus sites. Ensure all required jobs, data and documents are available prior and subsequent to field execution.

- Initiate Material Transfers and ensure accurate, current equipment inventory in SiteView.

- Review and analyze operational reports to confirm data quality and ensure that SiteView accurately reflects the current state of all assets based on activity conducted. This review includes but is not limited to, understanding when operations do not meet internal/external requirements, advising of potential non-compliance, documenting discrepancies and correcting them, review of drawings and ensuring regulatory, corporate and partner obligations are met.

- Support operations and other client groups by providing training and generating system reports from SiteView to support decision making and business operations.

- Coordinate initiatives with internal Enerplus staff regarding reporting issues and system interfaces between SiteView and other corporate systems; ensure source information feeding into or being retrieved from SiteView is correct (e.g. asset ownership, AFE / Cost Center related concerns, cost, etc.)

- Participate and/or lead future projects to help develop integrations between core Enerplus systems as well as working on special projects.

- Perform testing and sign off for system maintenance and upgrades

- Monitor acquisition and divestment activity, update all pertinent well and facility data in WellView and SiteView, and perform required due diligence

Requirements

- Minimum 4-6 years related experience in an area relating to Wells and/or Facilities

- Technical Diploma and/or certificate relating to Oil & Gas Operations is desirable

- Ideal applicant will have strong working knowledge of SiteView (Peloton)

- Strong working knowledge and understanding of well and facility operations, related processes and equipment, both subsurface and surface

- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio and Outlook

- Previous experience with AFE Navigator, Meridian or MaxiTrak is an asset

- Familiarity with Engineering drawings is an asset

- Excellent analytical and time management skills, attention to detail and a strong sense of initiative and leadership is essential

- Must be a team player and demonstrate the ability to readily adapt to change and still be successful within a continually developing work environment is essential

- Process driven and a strategic thinker is an asset
