Contract Joint Venture Representative

We are looking for a qualified Joint Venture Representative join our Calgary team on a contract basis to champion joint venture projects for our Canadian Operations. Your main duties will be to prepare, negotiate, review and manage various joint venture contracts and partnerships. A successful Joint Venture Representative will demonstrate a strong attention to detail along with the proven ability to strategize with and for the business both internally and externally with partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate contract terms with internal and external business partners
  • Review and update existing contracts
  • Maintain and advance joint venture partner relationships
  • Ensure partners understand and comply with the terms and condition of the agreements
  • Analyze potential risks involved with specific contract terms and area strategies
  • Ensure all deadlines and conditions on contracts are met
  • Contribute to strategic evaluations and recommend enhancements, maintenance or disposition of assets
  • Proactively seek and act on opportunities to market excess capacity in Enerplus’ operated facilities
  • Monitor all matters pertaining to joint accounts (i.e., AFE expenditures, mail ballots)
  • Conduct area reviews, fee recoveries and agreements consolidations for asset areas
  • Conduct JP-05 and other calculations
  • Monitor and review Equalizations
  • Create Mail Ballots and review Authority for Expenditures

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a Joint Venture Representative (with progressive experience as a Joint Venture Administrator and Analyst)
  • Proven ability to communicate openly with asset team members
  • Key attention to detail, with an ability to spot errors
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with accounting procedures, AFE Navigator, Excel, and mapping tools
  • Post-secondary education or equivalent certificates in Joint Venture
  • In depth knowledge of Joint Venture agreements and standards of practice
  • Acts as a good role model for our values and cultural beliefs
