We currently have a full-time opportunity for an Executive Assistant. This position is located in our Calgary office and will report directly to the President and CEO.

Key Accountabilities

The Executive Assistant provides support in a one-on-one working relationship. The Executive Assistant serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on all matters pertaining to the President & CEO. Key accountabilities include:

  • Completes a broad variety of administrative duties for the President and CEO, such as managing a very active calendar of appointments, completing expense reports, preparing correspondence that is sometimes confidential, arranging complex travel plans and agendas, and compiling material for internal and external meetings.
  • May provide some support to board members and other members of Enerplus' Senior Leadership Team as required
  • Plans, coordinates and ensures the President & CEO's schedule is followed and respected. Creates win-win outcomes for access to the CEO's time
  • Provides a bridge for smooth communication between the President & CEO and internal departments, as well as external stakeholders and committees
  • Researches, prioritizes and follows-up on incoming issues and concerns addressed to the President & CEO. Determines appropriate course of action, referral or response
  • Maintains and develops shared electronic filing / collaborative systems
  • Demonstrates leadership to maintain credibility, trust and support within the organization
  • Provides informal mentorship to Executive Assistant and Administrative Assistant colleagues and chairs monthly EA/AA meetings.
  • Proactively seeks out business partners to anticipate changes, requests and information sharing related to the CEO, and on behalf of EA/AAs
  • Completes deliverables in a hands-on and proactive manner that facilitates the President & CEO's ability to effectively lead the company


  • Professional demeanor with strong work tenure and experience supporting C-Level executives
  • Ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations and handle confidential matters with discretion
  • Strong written and verbal communication, administrative and organizational skills
  • Strong calendar management skills
  • Known for being a proactive self-starter, anticipating needs and following through
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to navigate shifting priorities
  • Proven track record in handling a high volume of work while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build relationships and demonstrate influence with various stakeholders
  • Acts as a good role model for our values and cultural beliefs
