Joint Venture Contract Administrator - 3-6-month contract (part-time)

Enerplus is a responsible developer of high quality crude oil and natural gas assets in Canada and the United States. We’re proud of what we do, how we got here and where we’re going. We currently have a three-six-month contract opportunity for an experienced, Joint Venture Contract Administrator. This position is in our Calgary office, is a part of the Joint Ventures group and reports directly to the Team Lead, Joint Ventures. Please note this is a part-time position (anticipated to be 2-3 days per week).

AS A JOINT VENTURE ADMINISTRATOR AT ENERPLUS, YOU WILL:

  • Assist Analyst and Joint Venture Rep with day to day administration requirements.
  • Work independently to generate accurate and detailed general letters.
  • Perform system updates and required data entry duties.
  • File and scan working documents and maintain JV files.
  • Partner with accounting team to ensure all processing fees are billed accurately.
  • Receive and direct queries from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Look up wells, and create maps for agreements.
  • Understand and prepare fee calculations.
  • Assist the Joint Ventures team with other initiatives as required.

Requirements

YOU HAVE THE REQUIRED BACKGROUND, INCLUDING:

  • 5-7 years of experience in full scope joint venture administration.
  • Post-secondary accreditation in JV field. Joint Venture Administration Certificate is preferred.
  • Demonstrated understanding of JV agreements, assignments, name changes and the revision process within them (i.e., Service Agreements, CO&O).
  • Understanding of A&D Process and applicable JV documents and correspondence.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Experience with Landman, AFE Navigator, and GeoScout.
  • Ability to work independently on confidential matters.
  • Ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Proven analytical problem-solving skills, with an inquiring mindset.
  • Highly proactive and collaborative team member with a strong results focus.
