In support of our corporate goal to reduce our total recordable injury frequency, Enerplus has subscribed to an online industry database of contractor information called ISNetworld for our contractors in Canada whose work is deemed 'safety sensitive'. The online service was selected due to its extensive reach across the industry, creating a powerful tool to streamline contractor data management processes.
Enerplus reviews a number of factors, including level of risk and amount of work performed, to determine which contractors are required to subscribe to ISNetworld.
Who Should Subscribe?
How do contractors know if they need to subscribe to ISNetworld to perform work for Enerplus?
Enerplus requires 'safety sensitive' contractors to subscribe to ISN. To Enerplus, 'safety sensitive' means a contractor is fulfilling a role that:
- presents a life-threatening danger to the contractor, our employees or the general public; and
- requires a high degree of care and caution to execute.
Generally speaking, the following types of 'safety sensitive' contractors are required to subscribe:
- on-site service providers; and
- on-site equipment providers or installers.
